Terms of Sale and Refunds
Last updated: 9 September 2026
These terms apply when you buy a paid plan. They set out who sells it to you, what you get, what renews and what does not, how to cancel, and how refunds work. They sit alongside the terms of service, which continue to govern your use of the Service.
1. Who you are buying from
Jobsistant is operated from Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Paid plans are sold through Paddle, acting as merchant of record. This means Paddle is the seller of record for your purchase: they take the payment, they are responsible for charging and remitting any applicable sales tax, VAT or GST, and they process refunds and chargebacks. Your payment card or bank statement will show Paddle rather than Jobsistant.
Where you install the browser extension from a web store, that store is not the seller. The seller is as described above, and no purchase is made through the store itself.
Your purchase is additionally subject to Paddle’s buyer terms. Where those terms and these differ on a matter they govern, theirs apply to the sale.
2. What is free, and what is paid
A free account is not a time-limited trial. Autofill of fields already held in your profile, the profile itself, reuse of answers you have previously written, the application tracker, and access to documents you have already generated are provided without charge and without an end date.
A paid plan adds exactly two capabilities: use of the answer-drafting feature (“Smart Apply”) without the daily limit that applies to free accounts, and generation of new tailored resumes and cover letters. No other functionality is contingent on payment.
Free accounts receive one Smart Apply per calendar day, measured in the time zone recorded on the account. One Smart Apply covers the open questions on a single application, including reasonable revision of the answers it produces. Fair-use limits may apply to paid accounts to prevent automated abuse; they are set well above ordinary individual use and we will contact you before restricting an account rather than acting silently.
3. Prices, currency and tax
Prices are published on the pricing page. Prices may differ by country. Where a regional price applies it is a figure we have set deliberately for that market rather than a currency conversion, and you will be shown the exact total, in your billing currency and inclusive of any tax Paddle is required to add, before you confirm the purchase.
We may change prices for future purchases. A change never affects a pass you have already bought. Where a change would affect a recurring plan you already hold, you will be given advance notice by email and may cancel before it takes effect.
4. What renews, and what does not
Passes do not renew. The 15-day, 30-day, 90-day and annual options are one-off purchases. They run for the stated period, then stop. No further payment is taken and no action is required from you to prevent one.
The Monthly plan renews. It is a subscription. It continues at the price shown at purchase, charged each billing period by Paddle, until you cancel. This is disclosed on the pricing page, on the plan itself, and at checkout before payment.
If you buy a pass while another pass or subscription period is still running, the new period is added to the end of the existing one. Time you have paid for is never displaced.
5. Cancellation
You may cancel the Monthly plan at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for, which runs to its end. No telephone call, chat session or retention conversation is required, and we do not make cancellation conditional on declining an offer.
Passes require no cancellation, as nothing recurs.
6. Refunds
Because Paddle is the seller of record, refund decisions rest with Paddle and are governed by their refund policy. In summary, and without qualifying that policy: purchases are treated as non-refundable save where a refund is required by law or granted at their discretion, and discretionary requests are considered within fourteen days of purchase.
We will assist you in raising a request and will support it where the circumstances warrant, but we cannot guarantee an outcome we do not control, and we will not tell you otherwise.
This is a considered reason for the free plan to be as capable as it is. You are not asked to buy in order to find out whether Jobsistant works for you.
7. Statutory right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase of digital content or services within fourteen days, without giving a reason. That right, the circumstances in which it may be lost or reduced where supply of the service has already begun with your express consent, and the procedure for exercising it, are set out in Paddle’s refund policy and buyer terms, and are exercised through them as the seller.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes a right you have under mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, and where anything here conflicts with such a right, that right prevails.
8. Failed and disputed payments
If a recurring payment fails, Paddle may reattempt it over a period before the subscription lapses. Your access is not cut off at the first failure. If a payment is ultimately not collected, the plan reverts to free and your data remains intact.
If you do not recognise a charge, please contact us before raising a chargeback. A chargeback may result in access being suspended while it is investigated, and it is almost always slower for you than an email to [email protected].
9. What happens when a paid plan ends
Nothing you have created is deleted, withheld or watermarked. Your profile, saved answers, application history and every document previously generated remain in your account and remain downloadable. Autofill continues without limit and the daily Smart Apply allowance resumes. Only the creation of new premium output stops.
10. Contact
Questions about a purchase, a renewal or a refund may be sent to [email protected]. We aim to answer within two business days. Requests that only Paddle can action will be identified as such, with the route to them, rather than left with you to discover.
