Version 1.0.3

Jobsistant now runs in Firefox

Jobsistant is on Firefox Add-ons for Firefox 140 or later on desktop. On every browser, field recognition can use Jobsistant’s shared field library again.

New
  • Firefox Add-ons listing, for Firefox 140 or later on desktop. It is Firefox’s first version, so it includes everything in 1.0.2.
Improved
  • Field recognition loads Jobsistant’s shared library of field labels again; it had stopped loading in late September.

Released for Chrome, Edge and Firefox.

Version 1.0.2

Your match on the page, and resumes attached under your name

The card on recognised applications now shows how well the job matches your profile, tailored documents are attached under your own name, and a brief connection problem no longer signs you out.

New
  • On recognised application pages, the Jobsistant card shows how well the job matches your profile. Closing it hides it for that page only, not the whole site.
Improved
  • The card only appears on pages that look like a real application.
  • Tailored resumes and cover letters are attached under your name instead of a generic file name.
  • The panel shows exactly which file it will attach, and whether that is your default resume or one tailored to the job.
  • After you connect your account, Jobsistant offers to open the side panel.
  • If you install the extension before creating an account, it takes you through setup first.
  • Skill matching credits the general skills your experience implies.
Fixed
  • A brief network or server problem no longer signs you out; Jobsistant keeps you signed in and offers to try again.
  • One unreadable profile item no longer stops the rest of your profile from loading.
  • Required fields on Lever forms are recognised as required.
  • Pressing Escape to close a form’s dropdown no longer dismisses the Jobsistant card.
  • Your default resume is no longer attached to an application that already has a tailored one.
  • File names in non-Latin scripts no longer confuse how an upload field is read.

Released for Chrome and Edge. Edge also received the changes from 1.0.1 with this version.

Version 1.0.1

Jobsistant arrives on the Chrome Web Store

Jobsistant is on the Chrome Web Store, with a redesigned side panel that lets you review the fields that need you and jump straight to each one on the form.

New
  • Chrome Web Store listing.
  • A redesigned side panel: a match summary, a focused review of the fields that need you, and a click to jump to any field on the page.
  • Choose whether Jobsistant may read just the current site or every site, right from the panel.
Improved
  • When a form adds questions as you go, Jobsistant fills the new fields too.
  • Dropdowns built from several parts are handled as one field.
  • A saved answer to a question about one country or state is only reused for that place.
  • More government ID questions are never filled, and voluntary self-identification questions are better protected.
Changed
  • Drafting answers with AI now needs a confirmed email address.
Fixed
  • Fewer wrong fills on live Breezy, Ashby, Keka, Lever and Zoho Recruit forms.
  • The site-access prompt no longer asks for access Jobsistant already has.
Security
  • Filled values and page text are no longer written to the browser’s developer console.
  • Fixes from an internal security review. Details are not published.

Released for Chrome. Microsoft Edge stayed on 1.0.0 until 1.0.2.

Version 1.0.0

Jobsistant’s first public release

The first public version, on Microsoft Edge Add-ons. Jobsistant fills job applications from your profile, drafts answers from your experience for you to review, and never presses submit.

New
  • Fills the fields your profile already answers, including dropdowns, phone numbers and the “add another” sections for work history and education.
  • Drafts answers to open questions from your profile and the job description, for you to review and edit.
  • Attaches your resume, or a resume and cover letter tailored to the job.
  • Saves the answers you type so the next application can reuse them.
  • Shows which applicant tracking system a form runs on.
  • Never fills account passwords, government IDs or voluntary self-identification questions, and never submits an application for you.

Released for Edge.
