Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 October 2026
These terms constitute the agreement between you and Jobsistant governing your access to and use of the service. They set out what the service does, the responsibilities each party assumes, and the limits that apply. Please read them before creating an account.
1. Definitions and parties
In these terms, “Jobsistant”, “we” and “us” mean the provider of the Jobsistant service, operating from Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. “You” means the individual who accesses or uses the service. The “Service” means the Jobsistant web application, browser extension, application programming interfaces and associated materials. “Your Content” means the documents, profile information, answers and other material you provide to or generate through the Service.
By creating an account, installing the browser extension, or joining an optional product-update list, you accept these terms and the privacy policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not accept them, you may not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You represent that you are at least sixteen years of age and competent to enter into a binding contract, and that your use of the Service does not contravene any law applicable to you. Accounts are personal to the individual who registers them and may not be shared, transferred, resold, or operated for the benefit of another person.
3. Scope of the Service
The Service maintains a professional profile under your control and applies it to the completion of job application forms, the drafting of responses to open-ended questions, and the generation of tailored application documents. The Service prepares an application and makes it available to you for review.
Submission is reserved to you. The Service provides no facility by which an application may be transmitted to a recipient on your behalf, and no such facility will be introduced. Any application that is submitted is submitted by you, by your own act. This is a deliberate limitation of the Service’s scope and should be understood as such when evaluating its suitability for your purposes.
4. Your responsibilities
Applications prepared through the Service are transmitted under your name and in your capacity. Accordingly, you are solely responsible for reviewing the entirety of an application before submitting it, and for the accuracy, completeness and lawfulness of the information contained in it and in your profile.
Drafted responses are derived from information you have supplied and from the job description presented to you, and are verified against that source material before being placed into a form. That process addresses the provenance of a statement; it does not, and cannot, establish that the underlying information is accurate or current. Information in your profile that is incorrect or out of date will produce a response that is incorrect or out of date. Verification remains your responsibility in every case.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity conducted through your account.
5. Acceptable use
The Service is provided to improve the quality of individual applications. It is not provided to increase their volume irrespective of quality. You shall not, and shall not permit any person to:
- include in an application any information you know or ought reasonably to know to be false, or otherwise misrepresent your experience, qualifications, employment history or identity;
- automate, script or otherwise programmatically drive the Service, or circumvent, disable or interfere with the review step by any means;
- use the Service to transmit bulk or indiscriminate applications to positions you have not individually evaluated;
- upload documents or personal data relating to another person, or apply for a position on another person’s behalf using their information, without lawful authority to do so;
- attempt to access data belonging to another user, probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service other than in accordance with the responsible disclosure terms published on the security page, or circumvent rate limits, quotas or usage budgets;
- decompile, reverse engineer or derive the source of the Service, or use the Service or its outputs to develop a competing product;
- use the Service in a manner that contravenes the terms of a third-party website, applicable law, or the rights of any person.
We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably determine that this section has been contravened, or where required to do so by law. Where it is lawful and practicable, notice will be given.
6. Your Content
As between the parties, Your Content remains yours. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and process Your Content, and to transmit relevant portions of it to the categories of service provider identified in the privacy policy, solely to the extent necessary to operate the Service and to perform the functions you request. This licence subsists only for so long as Your Content remains within the Service and terminates on erasure.
We do not use Your Content to train a Jobsistant-owned machine-learning or generative model. AI gateways and model providers process selected content to perform features you request; their applicable retention and training practices are described in the privacy policy.
You warrant that you hold all rights necessary to provide Your Content and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.
7. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, interfaces, design, documentation and trade marks, is and remains our property or that of our licensors. These terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with them, and confer no other right, title or interest.
8. Fees and changes to the Service
Pro is currently provided without charge during early access. Paid plans are not currently offered. After early access, the free plan includes unlimited autofill of the fields Jobsistant already knows, your full Super Context and saved answers, the application tracker and every document you have generated, and one Smart Apply a day for one application’s written questions. Pro adds unlimited Smart Apply, and new resumes and cover letters tailored to each posting. Pro prices, usage limits and billing periods will be published before early access ends and shown before any purchase. The terms applicable to a purchase — including how it is processed, whether it renews, cancellation and refunds — are set out in the terms of sale, which will apply in addition to these terms when purchases become available.
You may request a copy or deletion of your personal information, subject to reasonable identity verification, our privacy policy, and applicable law.
Access to language-model processing capacity is subject to fair per-account limits. Where a limit is reached, the Service continues to operate with reduced functionality and displays a notice to that effect. We may add, modify or discontinue features; where a change materially reduces functionality you rely upon, we will give notice by a reasonable means.
9. Availability and pre-release functionality
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. No service level or availability commitment is made, and the Service may be suspended for maintenance, or interrupted by matters outside our reasonable control.
The Service is currently provided in early access. Certain functionality may be identified as experimental or otherwise pre-release. Such functionality is provided for evaluation, may be altered or withdrawn, and is excluded from any undertaking given elsewhere in these terms.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. Without limitation, we do not warrant that the Service will identify or complete every field of a given form, that any generated material will produce a particular outcome in a recruitment process, or that operation will be uninterrupted or free from error.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, neither party shall be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill, opportunity, offer of employment or engagement, however arising and whether or not the possibility of such loss was known.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), statute or otherwise, shall not exceed the greater of the total amount paid by you to us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or ₹5,000 (five thousand Indian Rupees).
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Where you deal with us as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
12. Indemnity
You shall indemnify and hold us harmless against claims, proceedings, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of section 5, from Your Content, or from your use of the Service in contravention of applicable law or the rights of a third party. This section does not apply where you deal with us as a consumer and applicable law precludes it.
13. Third-party services
The Service operates alongside websites and application platforms operated by third parties. We do not control those platforms, are not responsible for their content, conduct or availability, and give no undertaking that the Service will remain compatible with any of them. Your use of a third-party platform is governed by that party’s terms.
14. Term and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and request account erasure by contacting the address in section 18. Where a self-service control is not available, we process the request after reasonable identity verification. Erasure is subject to limited retention required for security, accounting or legal obligations, as described in the privacy policy. We may terminate or suspend this agreement in accordance with section 5 or where required by law. Sections 4, 6 (final paragraph), 7 and 10 to 17 survive termination.
15. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms from time to time. Where an amendment is material, we will notify account holders by electronic mail in advance of its taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the amended terms. If you do not accept them, you may stop using the Service and request account erasure.
16. General
These terms, together with the privacy policy, constitute the entire agreement between the parties in relation to the Service and supersede any prior understanding. If any provision is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. No failure or delay in exercising a right operates as a waiver of it. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these terms; we may assign them in connection with a transfer of the business, on notice to you. Neither party is liable for failure to perform to the extent caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Notices to you may be given at the electronic mail address associated with your account.
17. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction, save that where you deal with us as a consumer, mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence continue to apply and you may bring proceedings before the courts of that country where that law so provides.
